During National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, our community celebrated the introduction of outdoor lockers at the LUM Emergency Shelter. The ribbon-cutting event, attended by dignitaries and community leaders, symbolized a united effort in the LUM Healthy Shelter Initiative. With refreshments and a heartfelt testimony from a recent shelter guest, the ceremony highlighted the positive impact of community partnerships. The outdoor lockers serve as a beacon of hope, emphasizing collective commitment to positive change and creating a healthier, safer, and more supportive environment for those facing homelessness.
