LUM Summer Program in Review – 2018

This summer at Lafayette Urban Ministry, the staff was busy educating, sheltering serving, assisting, nourishing and strengthening families in our community. Through the various programs LUM served 1,703 families and 128 children. Here are some interesting milestones and statistics from another successful summer at Lafayette Urban Ministry.

LUM Programs – Summer Statistics

5th Quarter Summer Learning Program – served 31 families; 50 children enrolled (pictured above)
LUM Camp – served 72 families; 85 campers (pictured above/below)
Emergency Shelter – housed 207
Good Samaritan Program – provided assistance to 428 families
Food Pantry – provided food to 1,089 families
Immigration Clinic – assisted 55 clients
ID Clinic – assisted 71 clients

Now that the summer at LUM is over — the staff are busy with fall programs such as the After School Program and in planning for upcoming events — Hunger Hike, HH5K Run, Port of Hope, Turkey Trot 5K Run & the Community Thanksgiving Celebration.
