In order to celebrate the melting pot that is Greater Lafayette, including the large contingent of International students at Purdue, the Lafayette Urban Ministry Immigration Clinic host an annual “Port of Hope” Fundraiser.   The event features heavy appetizers from local restaurants, international and American, as well as displaying handmade items from around the world to be sold as part of a silent auction.  There is also entertainment provided by musicians from around the world.

Seeking volunteers to help us  with the following:

  • assist with marketing/promotion – email Susan Brouillette at sbrouillette@lumserve.org
  • help set up before the event or help clean up after the event
  • assist with registration and ticket sales
  • answer questions and assist food vendors, artists, and entertainers
  • provide a handmade item to be included in the silent auction.  (It could be anything ranging from a kitchen towel, utensil, clothing item, pottery, painting, ornament for a tree, tea, jelly, candies, etc.)
  • provide music/entertainment
