Hunger Hike (September 22) is three weeks away. NOW is the perfect time to get started! The Hunger Hike 3K Walk kicks off on Sunday, September 22 at 2 p.m. at Riehle Plaza, Lafayette.
Hunger Hike is an annual community fundraising event whose mission is to Raise Awareness & Make a Difference in the Fight Against Hunger — locally, regionally & globally. It’s the perfect event for a team or group — church group, student organization, civic group or your family. Put together a Hunger Hike team and start raising money using our online fundraising site — or any way you choose. We hope you’ll consider joining our Fight against Hunger. Here’s how to get started:

Port of Hope
Port of Hope (November 7) – Port of Hope is an evening fundraising event in support of the LUM Immigration Clinic. The event includes heavy appetizers from local restaurants, a silent auction featuring items from around the world and entertainment by musicians from around the world.
Thanksgiving Celebration
Greater Lafayette Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Celebration (November 28) – The LUM Community Thanksgiving Celebration is on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 2 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church (Lafayette). More than 800 people will be served dinner and dessert, and you may be a part of this special program by volunteering or making a donation.
Turkey Trot 5K Run
Turkey Trot 5K Run (November 28) – Start off your Thanksgiving day with the Turkey Trot 5K Run at 8 a.m. on the Cattail Trail Loop, Celery Bog Nature Area, West Lafayette. Runners, walkers, dogs, strollers, wagons & turkey hats are welcome. All Turkey Trot proceeds benefit local families through the programs and services at LUM.
Jubilee Christmas
Jubilee Christmas (December 14) – LUM Jubilee Christmas serves over 600 families and 1800 children. Parents visit one of dozens of churches and shop for their children. In addition to the toys and clothes, each family also receives a ham and homemade cookies to make Christmas dinner special too.

The Turkey Trot 5K is open to runners of all ages and abilities and welcomes runners, walkers, dogs, strollers, wagons, turkey hats and more. The Turkey Trot 5K convenes at the Walmart in West Lafayette and follows the Cattail Trail Loop — which is flat and paved and allows participants to run on a scenic route through the Celery Bog nature area on a crisp November morning. Advanced registration is encouraged but race day walk-ups are welcome!
