In November, LUM offers a few very unique opportunities to get engaged in events. See below for further details about these events and their impact.
Join us on Tuesday, November 12 for a special private performance of the hit musical, School of Rock at the Civic Theatre. Admission is FREE, thanks to the generosity of Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. LUM is thrilled to offer this exclusive event for LUM donors and volunteers—our way of saying thank you for your dedication and support. Limited seating. First come, first serve.
Join us for the Village Drive-Thru Soup Day on Thursday, November 14, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., and enjoy a delicious to-go meal while supporting LUM. Meals are $14 each, with all proceeds benefiting LUM, thanks to Westminster Village. Bring a cash donation or food pantry item for a chance to win a $100 gift card to The Bryant.
Join the fun at the LUM Turkey Trot 5K Run on Thursday, November 28. Make it a new family tradition—throw on a silly hat or costume and be part of the most exciting 5K of the year. This Thanksgiving morning, create unforgettable memories with family and friends while supporting a great cause. Don’t miss out—sign up for the LUM Turkey Trot 5K Run TODAY. All proceeds go to help local individuals, families, and children through LUM programs and services.
Join us at the 38th Annual LUM Community Thanksgiving Feast. On Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28), LUM will serve a free, traditional meal—turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, yams, and pie. Dine in or take a meal to go, and enjoy the spirit of community and gratitude. All are welcome. Volunteers are needed, and donations of food, supplies, and financial support are greatly appreciated. Purdue & IU Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) are reviving its tradition of running a football from West Lafayette to Bloomington ahead of the annual Old Oaken Bucket football game. The Run the Ball event aims to raise $100,000 for homeless services benefiting LUM and a Bloomington nonprofit. Here are a few ways you can contribute: Online Donation; Corporate Sponsorship offers exclusive perks & benefits; and Spread the Word with others and have a greater impact. Through this collaboration, both FIJI chapters are using the spirit of competition to make a meaningful impact beyond the football game and bring positive change to their communities.
