LUM Immigration Clinic – Volunteer Superstars


Spotlight on Adedoyin Adeniran & Adelia Sorge

The LUM Immigration Clinic depends on a team of highly skilled, trained & accredited staff and volunteers. The team is led by the director and assistant director, Christian Gallo & Yanina Gomez Szyszko, volunteers and interns as well as a legal team composed of U.S. Department of Justice accredited representatives and attorneys, the LUM Immigration Clinic, established in 2014, is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice. Here are two of our recent volunteer superstars:


ADEDOYIN Florence Adeniran is originally from Ejigbo, Osun State, Nigeria, and now lives in Indianapolis. She earned an LLM from the IUPUI, a professional certificate from the Nigerian Law School, and an LLB from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Adedolyin is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Trademark Association. With LUM, Adedoyin is a LUM Immigration Clinic volunteer attorney. She shared that it is important for her to be able to “Help others discover, maximize and unleash their potential, and be a solution to people’s problems.


ADELIA Sorge, a longtime LUM advocate, and current Immigration Clinic volunteer was honored by the Greater Lafayette YWCA with the Woman of Wisdom Award at the Salute to Women event, where she was joined by the LUM Immigration Clinic director and assistant director, Christian Gallo and Yanina Gomez-Szyszko (pictured), and her fellow volunteers, Susan Brouillette, Margaret Hass and Aparna Puri. Adelia was also the recipient of the 2021 LUM Volunteer Star award. Join us in congratulating Adelia for this recognition and her continued support for LUM and the community at large. LUM is lucky to have her as a friend and member of the LUM Immigration Clinic team.
