Purdue Crew Row-A-Thon Supports LUM
Purdue Student-Athletes Raise $11,177 for LUM

The Purdue Crew Team members raised $11,177 for the LUM Good Samaritan Fund through its annual Row-A-Thon held this February. At the Purdue Crew Spring Banquet, Grant Herrmann, treasurer, and Elainna Papandrea, president, presented a ceremonial “big check” to Wes Tillett (pictured).
Each year, Purdue Crew student-athletes solicit donations from family and friends —many outside the Greater Lafayette community— to support the Row-A-Thon. This annual effort continues to be the single largest gift to the LUM Good Samaritan Fund from any group or individual. LUM is deeply grateful for the continued leadership and generosity of the athletes, coaches, and student leaders.
The LUM Good Samaritan Fund provides emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, and prescription medications. In 2025, the program supported 1,455 households through 2,266 instances of assistance, totaling $173,008.49 in critical aid.
