Local Agencies Lead Housing Collaboration

Three LUM staff members recently attended the 40th annual Prosperity Indiana Summit (PI Summit), a statewide conference focused on affordable housing, homelessness, and community development. They came away energized and grateful to be part of the broader Greater Lafayette team participating in the conference (pictured).

A highlight was the breakout session, “Collaboration That Works: Moving Hoosiers from Homelessness to Housing.” This panel discussion was presented by a collaborative team from Greater Lafayette and moderated by Pablo Malavenda, LUM executive program director. The session highlighted the work of the Coordinated Homeless Response Team and demonstrated how coordinated entry, shared accountability, and cross-system partnerships improve housing outcomes while reducing service gaps and duplication. Most inspiring was the strong interest from organizations across Indiana seeking to learn from and replicate what is working in Greater Lafayette in their own communities.

LUM is grateful to the PI Summit team for another powerful conference focused on shared learning and collaboration across Indiana.
