Thanks Kolbi!

Kolbi P. (West Lafayette) recently celebrated her 5th birthday — and in lieu of presents she asked her friends to bring to her birthday party snacks for the “LUM students & children.”

Kolbi, a pre-kindergarten student at Federated Church Pre-school, donated a large supply of snack treats for the LUM After School Program. Thanks to Kolbi, her friends and her parents (Kandi & Gerad), for this generous gift to LUM. What a remarkable girl!

Thanks to every group, company, church and individual who have recently donated “needed items” to one or more LUM program.

If you wish to collect donations for LUM, check out our “Needed Items Wish List” online—HERE. {Pictured above with her generous donation of snacks is Kolbi P. and Rev. Cindy Haley, LUM After School Program director.} If you wish to make an online monetary donation to the LUM After School Program, click HERE.

Jubilee Christmas — Making the Season Bright

Jubilee Christmas Helps to Make the Season Bright.

LUM Jubilee Christmas “Helps Make the Season Bright.” This past Saturday, close to 1,000
volunteers across the county hosted 684 families who were shopping for 1,913 children at 27 different host-sites engaging 31 churches and organizations — It’s LUM Jubilee Christmas!

Our Jubilee Christmas families are wonderful, loving parents — and our caring volunteers are excited to make these parents the “super-heroes” on Christmas morning. Each Jubilee Christmas family also received a ham, food card & homemade Christmas cookies to make Christmas dinner special too.

In addition to the new friendships forged, the highlight of the day is always the surprise visit from Santa Claus.
