LUM Needs Socks
We’re Almost Out of Our Most Requested Item
Socks are the most requested item in the LUM Office and at the LUM Emergency Shelter. Please consider a gift of socks to LUM. Prefer adult, size large, dark or white, and good quality.
- DROP OFF — Monday – Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the LUM Office, 420 N 4th Street, Lafayette, IN.
- SHIP – Order socks online and have them shipped to the LUM Office, 420 N 4th Street, Lafayette, IN. And, if you use Amazon Smile, LUM gets a percentage of your purchase.

- Order needed SOCKS (or other needed items), and
- LUM will get 0.5% of your eligible purchase.
Monetary donations are ideal because it gives LUM the ability to use the money where it is needed the most — but donations of “Needed Items” are welcome to support the LUM Food Pantries (Downtown Lafayette & West Lafayette, IN), Youth Programs, Emergency Shelter, Community Thanksgiving Feast, and Jubilee Christmas.
NEEDED ITEMS – LUM needs food, toilet papers, socks, dish detergent, deodorant, disposable razors, paper products, cleaning supplies, snacks, infant products and personal hygiene items. One way that LUM keeps expenditures down is by asking for donations of these “needed items” from the LUM Wish List. You may even purchase the needed items online and have them shipped. Plus, if you use Amazon Smile, LUM gets a percentage of your purchase. HOST A DRIVE – Coordinate a “collection drive” at your church, organization or business — or at your next event, like a birthday party or business meeting/social. Ask your members, friends, family and colleagues to donate Needed Items from the LUM Wish List, such as food, toilet papers, socks, dish detergent, deodorant, and disposable razors. Check the LUM Wish List and keep it simple. For example, sponsor a Toilet Paper Drive or ask your guests to bring items needed for the LUM Food Pantries (dish soap, canned fish, canned meat, deodorant, diapers, feminine products) — or snacks for the After School Program — or socks for the Emergency Shelter.
