LUM Community Thanksgiving Celebration
Donations and volunteers are needed for the 31st annual Lafayette Urban Ministry Community Thanksgiving Celebration — a holiday meal for approximately 800. Event details are as follows:
- Thanksgiving Day—Thursday, November 23
- Noon to 2 p.m.
- Central Presbyterian Church
The FREE meal includes a traditional Thanksgiving feast with turkey, dressing/ stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and a variety of pies & desserts.

Turkey Trot 5K Run
Each year early on Thanksgiving morning (11/23), hundreds of local runners & walkers participate in the Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk. It’s a great way to help those in our community in need while celebrating a holiday of “thanksgiving.”
Runners, walkers, families, strollers & dogs are welcome. All proceeds benefit Lafayette Urban Ministry. To register go to www.turkeytrot5krun.org
