Hendricks County Community Foundation makes a $5,000 grant to Lafayette Urban Ministry

Generous Gifts Impact LUM Families & Unhoused

The Hendricks County Community Foundation awarded Lafayette Urban Ministry $5,000 from the Electric Plus Care Fund to support the LUM Financial Assistance Programs. The grant from the Electric Plus Care Fund, a fund of The Hendricks County Community Foundation will fund support families basic necessities and make a brighter holiday.

According to Wes Tillett, LUM executive director “The Electric Plus Care Fund of The Hendricks County Community Foundation has touched the lives of countless people through its generosity. Year after year, Electric Plus steps forward to help neighbors who may never become customers and could never repay that kindness. I deeply admire this forward-thinking, selfless generosity. Because of the compassionate partnership between Electric Plus and The Hendricks County Community Foundation, many of our neighbors are receiving financial support this holiday season.”

The LUM Financial Assistance Programs provides critical support to individuals and families facing financial hardship. Through resources like the Good Samaritan Fund and Jubilee Christmas, LUM helps meet essential needs such as housing, utilities, and holiday support while offering stability, dignity, and hope during times of crisis.
