After School Program — The school year is underway, and LUM is here for families! Our program goes beyond child care—kids enjoy age-appropriate activities, early literacy support, and fun extracurriculars that fuel growth in every way: physical, emotional, and cognitive. Parents can work with peace of mind, knowing their children are safe, supported, and thriving. Together, we’re building stronger families and a brighter future for our community.

Hunger Hike — Step up against hunger! Join us Sunday, September 21 at 1 p.m. at Riehle Plaza, Lafayette, for our annual Hunger Hike fundraiser. Together, we’re aiming to raise $110,000 to fuel food and nutrition programs through LUM, Food Finders, and St. Thomas Aquinas. Every step you take helps feed families, strengthen our community, and bring hope—locally, regionally, and globally. Walk. Give. Change lives.
October
Jubilee Christmas — The big day is Saturday, December 13, but the magic starts in October! Families begin registering, and LUM teams up with local churches to host this cherished holiday tradition. Jubilee Christmas makes sure parents never have to choose between paying bills and giving their kids a joyful Christmas morning. Every donation delivers more than gifts—it delivers hope, love, and the reminder that this community cares.

Community Thanksgiving Feast — This November, let’s give thanks together. On Thursday, November 27, LUM invites our neighbors to a free Community Thanksgiving Feast—a tradition made possible by generous donors who believe no one should spend the holiday alone or without a warm meal.
