Lafayette Catholic Schools Support LUM
Students Give to LUM During Catholic Schools Week
LUM is grateful for the students, teachers, and families of Lafayette Catholic Schools for their generosity during Catholic Schools Week. As part of their commitment to community service, students from St. Mary & St. Lawrence Elementary Schools and St. Boniface School collected essential personal care items throughout January to support individuals in need.
Each grade level (K-12) focused on gathering specific items, ensuring a well-rounded collection of supplies. These donations were sorted, counted and delivered to LUM by Central Catholic Jr. & Sr. High School students.
Additionally, the students at St. Francis Early Learning Academy (ages 3-5) embraced the spirit of giving by assembling bagged meals for the LUM Winter Warming Station, further reinforcing the values of compassion and service at the heart of Catholic Schools Week. They provide more than 80 meals in bags that were brightly decorated by the preschool students (pictured).
Sincere thanks to the Lafayette Catholic Schools students, teachers and families for their generosity, kindness, and commitment to serving the community. This support makes a difference, and LUM is encouraged by their willingness to step up whenever there is a need. Thank you for being a shining example of faith in action. If you or your group ever wish to organize a collection drive or provide meals, LUM welcomes your support and will gladly provide guidance on the most needed items.
Go Knights!
