Celebrating 40 Years of Care for the Unhoused

LUM invites you to the 40th Anniversary of LUM Homeless Services. This special event marks four decades of dedication to providing shelter, support, and life-changing assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness in Greater Lafayette.

  • DATE/TIME – Wednesday, November 20, at 6:30 p.m.
  • LOCATION – LUM Ray Ewry Center, 525 N 4th Street, Lafayette, IN
  • Refreshments, Remarks and Tours (at 6 p.m.)

Since 1984, when LUM opened Lafayette’s first emergency shelter, the shelter team has led efforts to assist those experiencing homelessness. From a small site on 8th Street to the Ray Ewry Center built in 1995, LUM has continually expanded services to meet the community’s needs.

Join us to celebrate, reconnect with friends, and reflect on the future of LUM Homeless Services.

To honor the 40th Anniversary, the 40-for-40 Campaign has been launched with a goal of raising $40,000 or $1,000 for each year of service. These funds will directly support the Emergency Shelter and Winter Warming Station.

Make a donation and honor 40 years of service to the unhoused. Together, let’s continue to provide shelter, support, and hope.
