Immerse yourself in the real life narratives of some of the people served by this fund:

  • Consider the challenges of a young adult recovering from brain surgery, determined to return to work in the future but currently lacking income. They face the daunting arrival of winter and the inability to afford heating costs.
  • Imagine a single mother, devoted to her children with disabilities, unable to resume work until she secures the essential supportive services. She also grapples with an overdue heating bill.
  • Picture being a single father raising three children, urgently seeking help to move away from an apartment contaminated with lead.

These stories are not mere fiction. They depict the real struggles experienced by members of our community who have sought help from the LUM Good Samaritan Fund. Thanks to compassionate donors like YOU, LUM has been able to provide financial aid, as well as emotional support and hope, to numerous individuals facing housing challenges.
