As we bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one, let’s raise a toast to YOU…
- Whether you dedicated your time to preparing and serving meals for those facing homelessness at the LUM Emergency Shelter;
- Whether you generously supported the LUM Good Samaritan Fund, making it possible for 1,372 families to avoid utility disconnection or eviction through the LUM Financial Assistance Program;
- Whether you lent your time and expertise as a volunteer at the LUM Immigration Clinic;
- Whether you took on the role of a LUM tax preparer, assisting in the return of millions of dollars in refunds and credits to low-income households in our community;
- Whether you volunteered as a mentor at LUM Camp, After School Program tutor, or in any of LUM’s other impactful youth programs that are making strides in narrowing the academic achievement gap;
- Whether you played a crucial part in the fight against hunger by volunteering to feed 6,265 individuals in 2023 through the two LUM Food Pantries;
- Whether you participated in events like Hunger Hike, served on the food line at the LUM Community Thanksgiving Feast, sprinted in the Turkey Trot 5K Run, or generously contributed a toy to one of the 1,829 children impacted by LUM Jubilee Christmas.
