Three November Campaigns Give LUM a Boost

Klemme Match | Village Soup Day | Giving Tuesday

In November, LUM experienced the culmination of three distinctive and impactful fundraising events: the Klemme Match ProgramVillage Drive-Thru Soup Day, and #GivingTuesday. See below for further details about these events and their impact.

LUM is thrilled to have once again partnered with the Neil Klemme State Farm Insurance Agency, a beloved local small business, for the annual November Match Program. Thanks to the remarkable generosity of Neil Klemme, the dedicated Klemme Insurance team (pictured), State Farm, and all of our November Match donors, the initiative successfully raised $10,270.

For the fourth consecutive year, Westminster Village in West Lafayette generously sponsored Village Soup Day to benefit LUM programs. The dedicated Westminster Village staff successfully sold hundreds of meals, showcasing their renowned hot broccoli cheddar soup, chili, maple vinaigrette salad, house-made rolls, and gourmet chocolate chip cookies. As a result of this event, Westminster Village donated $3,500 to LUM, the largest donation to date.

On Giving Tuesday, LUM raised $6,378. Whether it involved bringing a smile to someone’s face, assisting a neighbor, or advocating for a cause close to your heart, your actions on #GivingTuesday have reshaped our perspectives on giving throughout the entire year. Thanks for participating and choosing LUM.

LUM is fortunate and deeply grateful for the continued support extended by the Neil Klemme State Farm Insurance Agency and Westminster Village – West Lafayette. LUM also extends heartfelt gratitude for your active participation in #GivingTuesday. These three substantial contributions will provide LUM with a significant boost in our ongoing efforts to assist local families and children in our community as well as those experiencing homelessness and financial struggles.
