LUM is Addressing Fundamental Food Needs
Community Thanksgiving Feast – November 23
LUM is hosting its 37th annual Community Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday, November 23, serving over 800 guests. It’s a cherished tradition that’s entirely FREE, featuring a classic Thanksgiving meal with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and delicious pies — plus music and wonderful company. For those in a hurry, there will be convenient to-go meal options available. LUM welcomes monetary donations to cover the $9,000 cost of this event. LUM is also actively seeking volunteers and donations of food & supply to ensure its success. To donate or volunteer, please visit LUMserve.org/thanksgiving. Your involvement helps share the spirit of gratitude and togetherness this Thanksgiving.
LUM Food Pantries – Thursday & Friday Mornings
LUM operates two Food Pantries (West Lafayette & Downtown Lafayette, IN). As the fall season arrives and the holidays approach, LUM urgently needs your support to meet the increasing demands for food, paper products, and hygiene items. Supply chain disruptions & rising food costs have made it challenging to secure necessary food supplies. Monetary donations are most effective, but if you’re looking for other ways to assist, please consider volunteering, donating essential items, hosting a collection drive — or at your holiday celebration, make a donation to LUM in place of traditional gift exchanges. Your support ensures that LUM may continue helping those in our community during these tough times.
