LUM Camp 2023 – Enriching & Memorable

80 Local Children Have Ultimate Camp Experience

LUM Camp was an incredibly enriching and memorable week for 80 local children (8-9-10 year olds). This year’s theme was “Music!“ The program used music to create fun, interactive and educational activities. The highlights were a parade and performance from the Voyageur Ancient Fife & Drum Corps (pictured), making musical instruments, hands-on instruction for playing a violin, and the screening of the movie, Sing 2. The campers also experienced nature hikes, archery, clogging, arts and crafts, boating, swimming, morning campfires, wall climbing, zip-lining, and the giant swing — often for the first time. LUM board members and donors attended LUM Camp Friend Night, where they sang camp songs, attended dinner, served ice cream (pictured), and enjoyed informal interactions with the LUM Campers. Some even dared to soar through the woods on the zip-line.
