LUM Summer of Service – Youth & Fellows

Covenant Church Youth & Ben Franklin Fellows

As a part of the LUM Summer of Service, LUM was blessed with two dynamic and hardworking groups of volunteers. They tackled several projects in and around the two LUM buildings. Children, youth, and parents from Covenant Church, West Lafayette, comprised one of the group (pictured above); and the student participants from the Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute at Purdue comprised the other (pictured below).

They deep cleaned, painted rooms, assembled shelter bunk beds, cleaned buses, hung pictures, did landscaping, organized supply rooms and more. They also learned about the programs & services offered by LUM for working families, at-risk children and individuals experiencing homelessness. To view more PHOTOS from these LUM Summer of Service days, click the buttons.
