Meet the LUM Summer Teaching Team


Engaging Students – Learning, Fun, Recreation

LUM is proud to introduce the LUM 5th Quarter Summer Learning Program team. What a talented and nurturing team! Led by Kristi Hogue, LUM Youth Programs director, the LUM teachers are assisted each week day by volunteers.

KRISTI Hogue, LUM Youth Programs director, grew up in Logansport and currently lives in Lafayette with Jeff, her husband, and their three children, Taelynn (22), Jaedren (15) and Maekenna (10). Jaedren & Maekenna have been enrolled in the LUM after school & summer programs for the past few years. Kristi graduated from Logansport High School, earned a BS in Child Development & Family Studies from Purdue University, and is pursuing a master of arts in education from Ball State University. She is a member of the National After-School Association.

KYLEY Certain grew up in and lives in Lafayette with her husband, Jerry, and their three sons, Liam (7), John (4.5), and Hudson (8 months). She graduated from McCutcheon High School and earned a bachelor’s in Early Childhood Development from Indiana Wesleyan University. During the school year, Kyley works for Lafayette School Corporation as a Title 1 paraprofessional.

MADY Lester grew up and still lives in Lafayette with her husband, Kiel. She graduated from Jefferson High School, earned a bachelor’s in Social Work from IUPUI, and this past May earned a Master of Social Work from the Indiana University School of Social Work.

PATRICK Renfrow grew up in Macon, Georgia and completed his high school education in Logansport. He earned an associate degree in Theology from Grace University, Winona Lake, IN. Patrick is also a teacher and bus driver with the LUM After School Program.

ANN Mobley is from Chicago and now lives in Lafayette with her six year old son. She graduated from Thornton High School, earned an associates degree in the Early Childhood Education program at Ivy Tech Community College, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Ball State University. Ann hopes to open a daycare of her own called Tiny Hands.

BREANNE Stewart grew up and still lives in Lafayette with her two children, Faythe (high school sophomore) and Gabriel (first grade). She graduated from Faith Christian High School and earned her associates degree in Human Services at Ivy Tech Community College.

TABBY Volpi grew up and still lives in Lafayette with her husband, Matthew, and their two children, ages 8 & 10. She graduated from Jefferson High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University. During the school year, Tabby works for the Lafayette School Corporation.
