LUM Executive Director Spoke to Optimist Club
Joe Micon, LUM executive director, spoke yesterday at the weekly meeting of the local Lafayette Noon Optimist Club of Optimist International service organization.
The Lafayette Noon Optimists have supported LUM Camp by sponsoring campers each year for several consecutive years. LUM Camp matches the Optimists International’s goals of sponsoring programs that “educate youth, develop character through projects and encourage good sportsmanship and citizenship.”
Joe had a great visit with the members and was given an opportunity to share the good work of Lafayette Urban Ministry. LUM is grateful to the members of the local club for their continued support of LUM and LUM Camp.
