Meet the LUM Interns


Gina Williams —LUM Intern (pictured, left)

Originally from Indianapolis, Gi2015-10-02 Interns 002 (2) (1280x852)na now lives in Lafayette with her 12 year old dog, Yoshi. She graduated with a degree in psychology from IUPUI and is currently enrolled in the Master of Social Work program at the Indiana University School of Social Work (Indianapolis). Upon graduation in 2017, Gina will pursue a career working with the elderly population.

At LUM, Gina is an intern with the LUM Emergency Shelter supporting the director and working with the shelter guests during their intake process.


Thomas Bowman —LUM Intern (pictured above, right)

Tom is from Wallace, Indiana in Fountain County. Tom is a psychology major in the College of Health & Human Services at Purdue University (West Lafayette). Tom has worked in the Purdue Psychology Research Lab and is currently in the Venture Crew with the Boys Scouts of America. Upon graduation in May 2017, Tom plans on a career in criminal and forensic psychology.

At LUM, Tom is an intern with the LUM Emergency Shelter supporting the director and working with the shelter guests during their intake process.


Erin Knorr —LUM Intern

Erin’s family lives in North CarolinaQuakerOatsGift; and she grew up in Winamac, Indiana and currently lives in West Lafayette. Erin is enrolled in the Human Services program at Ivy Tech Community College (Lafayette). She is a member of First Baptist Church (Lafayette) and also works at Menard’s. Upon graduation in May 2016, Erin plans on earning a Bachelor’s degree and pursuing a career working with children.

At LUM, Erin is working as an intern with the LUM After School Program.
