LUM 5th Quarter Program Inspires Success

Following a thorough summer reset and the Memorial Day break, the LUM Ray Ewry Center is once again alive with activity as the 2026 LUM 5th Quarter Summer Learning Program gets underway. The center is filled with energy, curiosity, and the excitement of a new season of learning.

This vital program provides academic enrichment for children from low-income families, helping close the summer learning gap and keeping students on track academically.

Each weekday, 70 students begin with a healthy breakfast snack and reading time, followed by engaging instruction in math, science, and social studies through both in-person lessons and interactive online activities. Afternoons include recreationenrichment, and field trips to community destinations such as the local pool and library, expanding learning beyond the classroom.
