LUM Campaign for Hoosier Families — Invited to Join the Immigrant Welcome Center Advisory Board

LUM has been invited to become an active member of the Advisory Board of the Immigrant Welcome Center. The Immigrant Welcome Center of Indianapolis is a resource for the growing community of immigrant newcomers to Indiana.

The Immigrant Welcome Center relies on its relationships in the community with agencies like LUM for advice and guidance in addressing the needs of immigrant newcomers as they establish their new lives in Indiana. Through Natural Helpers and community partners, the Immigrant Welcome Center connects newcomers to the resources, services, and opportunities they need to fully participate in the economic, civic, social and cultural life of the community.

Susan Brouillette will represent LUM on the Immigrant Welcome Center Advisory Board.

LUM Forum: Fear, Farce and Forgiveness

Ruminations and Perusals Regarding the Divisiveness in American Politics and Public Life

  • Do you wonder if the current state of affairs is just politics as usual or if it poses a real threat to our democracy?
  • What responsibility do we all share left, right, or center, for the fear mongering and enmity corroding and grinding the political process to a halt.
  • What are the possible consequences of inaction?
  • Are there strategies and coping mechanisms that will allow for reconciliation?
  • Sound interesting?

Then you will want to be sure to watch this edition of  LUM Forum.
