LUM Summer of Service – Jump In
LUM Youth Programs Volunteers Needed Now
Be a Part of Something Special This Summer!
This summer, LUM invites you to be part of something special—the LUM Summer of Service. From daytime enrichment to overnight adventure, LUM Youth Programs are in full swing—and volunteers are at the heart of it all. Whether you’re looking to make a difference in a child’s life, earn volunteer hours, or simply have a summer filled with purpose and fun, LUM has a place for you.
5th QUARTER – Academic Support Meets Summer Fun

The LUM Ray Ewry Center is alive with curiosity and connection this summer as the LUM 5th Quarter Summer Learning Program provides academic enrichment to nearly 70 children from local families. Each weekday begins with breakfast and quiet reading, followed by engaging lessons in math, science, and social studies—delivered both in person and through interactive online activities. Students bring lunch from home, and afternoons are filled with recreation, snacks, and enrichment, including local field trips that spark creativity and joy.
Volunteers are needed to assist with academic time, play games, chaperone field trips, help with snacks, and simply be a caring presence. Whether you can commit to one day or several weeks, your time matters. Bonus: you’ll feel great doing it.
LUM CAMP – An Unforgettable Week of Growth & Adventure

Looking for a volunteer experience that combines outdoor fun with deep impact? LUM Camp 2025 is happening Monday, July 28 through Friday, August 1 at Hanging Rock Camp, and LUM is seeking enthusiastic LUM Camp counselors to lead small groups of campers through a week of learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
LUM Camp counselors will enjoy activities like swimming, zip-lining, horseback riding, wall-climbing, and more—all while mentoring a group of ten children and helping them grow in confidence, social skills, and self-worth. They’ll earn 100 volunteer hours, receive training and free meals, and be part of a team that creates lasting change. This is more than a camp—it’s a week that stays with you, and with the children you lead, for years to come.
LUM Camp is an amazing experience — come be part of it! Training is provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and heart.
