Following a thorough cleaning day and the Memorial Day holiday, the LUM Ray Ewry Center is once again buzzing with energy and excitement as the LUM 5th Quarter Summer Learning Program kicks off a new season. This vital program provides academic enrichment to children from low-income families, helping bridge the summer learning gap and ensuring students stay on track with their peers.

The talented LUM Summer Youth Programs Team creates a dynamic environment where learning and fun go hand in hand. Each weekday, 70 students begin their day with a healthy breakfast snack and reading time, followed by engaging lessons in math, science, and social studies through both in-person instruction and online activities. Students bring their own lunches from home, and the program provides nutritious afternoon snacks, recreation, and enrichment—including local field trips that spark curiosity and joy.

You can help make a difference in the life of a child this summer. Your gift to the LUM 5th Quarter Summer Learning Program supports academic achievement and a safe, enriched space. To donate, visit LUMserve.org/donate or click the button below.
