Behind the Scenes at the Emergency Shelter
A Unique & Powerful LUM Experience
A select group of LUM friends recently experienced life as a guest at the LUM Emergency Shelter through a special Behind the Scenes event. Participants followed the guest process from check-in to chores, gaining firsthand insight into shelter operations and the realities faced by unhoused neighbors.
Led by LUM staff, the experience included a walk-through of shelter routines and video testimonials from current guests, offering a personal glimpse into the challenges and resilience of those served. All participants agreed it was a profound and eye-opening experience. If you would like to attend a future Behind the Scenes event, email lum@LUMserve.org.
