Meet Linda – New LUM Staff Member

Linda Tripp – LUM Accounting Assistant

Linda G. Tripp is the new LUM accounting assistant. She was born in East Chicago, Indiana, but lived most of her life in Lafayette, where she now lives with her husband, Darry, and their two youngest children. Darry is a Vietnam veteran and retired from Caterpillar. They have two adult stepchildren, two adopted daughters, eight grandchildren, and two golden retrievers.

When reflecting on her excitement and pride in joining the LUM team, she states,

What speaks to me the most is giving “back the hope, the future, the self-respect, which all God’s people need and deserve.” We all go through rough times, often by things out of our control. Without judgment, we all can use a helping hand from time to time. I hope to be a small part in helping others.

Linda graduated from Jefferson High School (Lafayette) and attended Ivy Tech Community College with a focus on Accounting/Excel and Child Development, earning a certificate in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. She has been the treasurer with the CASAs for Kids Fund, has participated in four mission trips (Panama, Costa Rica, Philippines, and Hong Kong), and is active with her church with projects like the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, Senior Care, and Helping Hands, which is starting a soup kitchen. In her free time, Linda enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (especially to Florida), reading and doing puzzles; and her passage from the Bible is,

“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.”

Psalm 27:4

LUM is fortunate to have someone with Linda’s expertise and passion join the LUM staff. Please join us in welcoming her.
