5th Quarter Summer Students Have Returned

Child Care Focused on Learning, Health & Safety

The LUM Youth Center is once again filled with life with the start of the LUM 5th Quarter Summer Learning Program. Before the students arrived Kristi Hogue, LUM youth programs director, trained the teachers relative to LUM’s new strict protocols, which exceed the CDC & State guidelines.

There are new guidelines for check in, pick up, meals, tutoring, recreation, arts & crafts and trips. Parents, students, staff and volunteers must get their temperature taken, wear masks and wash their hands before entering the building; and depending on the situation, will wear face shields, use hand sanitizer and be separated by a “sneeze” guard. The facility will be disinfected before the students arrive, after the students leave, and throughout the day.
