Meet the New LUM Interns
Amanda Druhan —LUM Intern
Originally from Oxford, Indiana, Amanda now lives in Lafayette with her two daughters, Alannah (11) and Makenna (8). She earned a BS in youth, adult & family studies with a minor in psychology from Purdue (2012) and is currently enrolled in the Master of Social Work program at the Indiana University School of Social Work (Indianapolis). Upon graduation in 2017, Amanda will pursue a career working in school & macro social work.
Amanda came to LUM with experience as a case manager & family case manager. She is also engaged to Beau and is in the process of planning their wedding.
At LUM, Amanda is an intern with the LUM Good Samaritan Program, LUM Immigration Clinic and LUM Emergency Shelter supporting the director and working with the shelter guests during their intake process.
Erin Knorr —LUM Intern
Erin’s family lives in North Carolina; she grew up in Winamac, Indiana and currently lives in West Lafayette.
Erin is enrolled in the Human Services program at Ivy Tech Community College (Lafayette). She is a member of First Baptist Church (Lafayette) and also works at Menard’s. Upon graduation in May 2016, Erin plans on pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and a career working with children.
At LUM, Erin is working as an intern with the LUM After School Program.
Kristen Patz —LUM Intern
Kristen is originally from Etna Green, Indiana and currently lives in West Lafayette with her husband, Brandt, and her three children: Ethan (6), Caroline (2), Brennan (4 months). Kristen earned a BS in social work from Manchester University in 2010. She currently works as a case manager at Purdue and is enrolled in the Master of Social Work program at the Indiana University School of Social Work (Indianapolis).
Kristen came to LUM with experience as a social services director and case manager. Upon graduation in May 2017, she plans on a career in nonprofit management.
At LUM, Kristen is an intern with the LUM Administration supporting the executive director.
