Immigration Clinic – 1st Anniversary
The LUM Immigration Clinic is one year old — and has much to celebrate.
In the past year, the LUM Immigration Clinic has seen over 70 clients — meeting the expectation for the demand. In addition to assisting individuals with various issues like citizenship, consideration for DACA, applying for emergency visas, asylum or green cards — the LUM Immigration Clinic has initiated a few programs. Those programs are as follows:
- Citizenship Classes. Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning this week (see photo below). For more information, click HERE
- Spanish Conversation Tables. Wednesdays beginning September 16th. For more information, click HERE
Susan Brouillette, the director, is accredited by the US Justice Department. Brouillette also relies on a team of trained volunteers to supplement her work with the clients. They are proud to announce that one of their clients will be sworn in as a US citizen soon.
This is a milestone for the Immigration Clinic, which only began seeing clients a year ago. Next year, Brouillette and the team of volunteers hope to assist at least 200 clients—close to a 300% increase.
