Local Church Gives $28,000 for Priority Initiatives
Lafayette Urban Ministry is grateful to the regional leadership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for their generous gift of $28,900 supporting the LUM Mission of serving our neighbors in need.
This contribution strengthened several key programs:
- $16,950 – Good Samaritan Fund for the LUM Financial Assistance Program
- $2,300 – Painting materials for the LUM Ray Ewry Center (see photo)
- $750 – Siding materials for the LUM Ray Ewry Center
- $8,900 – Food and hygiene products for the LUM Protein Food Pantry
Wes Tillett, LUM executive director, shared, “We are deeply grateful for this gift and the compassion it represents. It strengthens our community and helps us offer hope to those experiencing hardship.”
Their generosity directly enhanced the ability of LUM to provide emergency financial help, safe shelter, and essential food and hygiene items – and serve as a lifeline of help and hope. Please join us in thanking the local leadership and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
