For more than 50 years, Lafayette Urban Ministry has provided critical support to neighbors in crisis—offering shelter, nourishment, and hope to those who need it most. You can help ensure that this essential work endures for generations by joining the LUM Legacy Partners, a distinguished group of supporters who have included LUM in their estate plans. Establishing a legacy gift is simpler than you may think. Below are several straightforward ways to make a lasting and meaningful impact:

• LEGACY – Name LUM as a beneficiary of your 401(k), 403(b), IRA, or other retirement account—simply update a form with your plan administrator.
• BEQUEST – Include LUM in your will through a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or a residual gift.
• SECURITIES – Donate appreciated stock, potentially providing tax benefits while advancing our mission.
• ESTATE – Transfer real estate or other property to help strengthen LUM’s long-term support.
• PHILANTHROPY – Recommend a future gift to LUM from your Donor Advised Fund (DAF).
