From Shelter Guest to Shelter Volunteer
Eight months ago, Kevin came to the LUM Emergency Shelter in need of a safe place to sleep and a path forward. Thanks to the stability and support he received at LUM, Kevin found a job—and eventually moved into his own apartment.
Today, Kevin is giving back by volunteering at the same shelter that once supported him through a difficult time. He’s doing well, feeling happy, and filled with gratitude. The LUM Emergency Shelter, he says, gave him the space and encouragement he needed to rebuild his life.
