A Special LUM Celebration Just for YOU!

LUM 50th Anniversary Celebration – April 8

Greetings, LUM Friends –

Everyone at LUM would be delighted to have you join us for the LUM 50th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m. at the Long Center, Lafayette, IN. Lafayette Urban Ministry has been an important part of this community for 50 years because it is a social safety net that keeps so many people housed, helped, and hopeful. I am most proud every time I hear a success story of how LUM is changing lives. I love the success stories of LUM clients — people being uplifted out of poverty. I also love the success stories of LUM donors and volunteers — people, like YOU, who find the riches and joy of serving others with love in their hearts.

Ultimately, though it might sound cliché it is nonetheless true, my hope for the future of LUM is in God. Knowing that the God of love is with us as we walk through life’s peaks and valleys — this is what gives me courage as we head into the next 50 years. I am also heartened by the reality that LUM is a diverse and growing family, and this family is united in tackling basic human needs and uplifting the people of Greater Lafayette. You have been important in the first 50 years of LUM. Thank you.

Please join us at the LUM 50th Anniversary Celebration on April 8!

Wes Tillett
Executive Director

P.S. All proceeds from this event will benefit the LUM Good Samaritan Fund, offering financial assistance for rent, utilities, and medication.
