Local Youth Groups from Volunteer at LUM
LUM Ray Ewry Center Gets a New Coat of Paint
As a part of the LUM Summer of Service, students from Connection Point Church (Lafayette) and Eastside Assembly of God (Lafayette) volunteered this week at the LUM Ray Ewry Center, home to LUM youth programs and the Emergency Shelter. Volunteering at LUM was part of the churches’ “Project Third” (God first, others second, self third), which is a week of serving the local community. Some student-volunteers put a new coat of paint on the trim, door frames, railings, back entrance staircase and playground. Others tidied up the grounds and assembled shelving units in the basement.
LUM is grateful for the help from these hard-working students from Connection Point and Eastside Assembly of God. Their passion for getting involved in making this a better community for everyone is inspiring. If you or your group would like to volunteer during the LUM Summer of Service, click HERE.
