Happy 90th Birthday to Thomas Hull
Join us in celebrating the birthday of one of LUM’s dearest friends, Thomas Hull, who will be 90 years young this Saturday, April 22. He is a retired professor from Purdue University and lives in West Lafayette.
Tom and his late wife Peggy have been LUM supporters since the early 1970’s. Peggy was a member of Central Presbyterian, and Tom is a member of Lafayette Friends Meeting.
Tom served as the president of the LUM Board of Directors in 1976, 1978 & 1987.
Tom is a member of the “LUM Dream Team” — the group who worked to get LUM incorporated in 1972 and collaborated on a scholarly report (The Green Book, 1976) that serves as the model for LUM to this day. In 2015, he and three other LUM “founders” established the LUM Dream Team Fund to financially support future research projects relative to “urban ministries.”
As you can see, Tom Hull has had a remarkable impact on the founding, growth and sustainability of Lafayette Urban Ministry. Please join us in thanking him and wishing him a happy 90th birthday and a wonderful year. If you wish to send him a birthday message, please email him directly at pgfhull@comcast.net.
