ASP Students Visit the Imagination Station

Imagination station logoLast week, the students in the LUM After School Program took a trip to the Imagination Station in Lafayette.

The Imagination Station is greater Lafayette’s only science center designed to provide the opportunity to explore space, science, technology, and engineering in our community. Our facility houses various photo (2)hands-on exhibits with many future projects in the works!  Help support scientific curiosity and visit the Imagination Station.

The LUM After School Program provides safe, fun and enriching childcare for children in afternoon kindergarten to 5th grade. The program serves up to 42 children for three hours each school day, enabling their parents to finish their workday. The children are transported from local elementary schools to LUM where they work on homework, have a nutritious snack, and participate in religious education, crafts, music, and other fun and educational activities.

In addition, the group goes on numerous field trips. The program is staffed by a professionally trained educator and an assistant. Many volunteers and several van drivers also help.
