Overnight Shelter Volunteers

Overnight volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and may not be current LUM clients. Training will be provide on your first night of volunteering. Please arrive at your assigned time (typically 8 p.m.) at the front entrance of the LUM Ray Ewry  Center (525 N. 4th Street, Lafayette). 

Duties: Assist the coordinator in checking-in guests & serving meals, stay on site for your assigned shift (8 p.m. to Midnight; or 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.). Volunteers must be able to maintain confidentiality and interact with a variety of people.

Individuals using this to satisfy their "court ordered" community service hours -- please sign up for the entire evening each night you work (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and earn 10 hours of service.
