HOLIDAY TEA at the WHITTAKER INN
Take a deep breath and step into the calming farmhouse setting that is the Whittaker Inn.  Enjoy a traditional British tea with Chef Andrew and Elizabeth in their beautiful new West Lafayette inn.  The holidays will be in the air, Christmas trees twinkling, and a fire roaring in the fireplace. The tables will be adorned with an array of artfully crafted fare from the freshest, locally sourced ingredients.  What a wonderful respite from the bustle of the season; the perfect opportunity to nourish both the body and the soul!

A HOOLEY in the KITCHEN
The dictionary defines a hooley as an Irish party with music, and nobody does a hooley like the Beardmores!  The sofas will be pushed back, the beer will be cold, the Irish stew hot, and the music just right for this early St. Patrick’s celebration!

CHRISTMAS BRUNCH AT THE ACORN BED AND BREAKFAST
Hospitality is in Grace and Mel’s blood. For nearly 25 years they operated Lafayette landmark Sarge Oak’s Restaurant.  They now welcome you to their home, the Acorn Bed and Breakfast, a charming 100+ year old bungalow. The inn will be decked out in all it’s holiday finery- including Grace’s amazing cooking skills!  As a special treat, you will go home with a breakfast strata, perfect for entertaining those upcoming holiday guests.

COOKIE BAKING and BRUNCH with JILL HARDEBECK
Just about anyone who has had children go through the Catholic schools in recent years knows about Jill’s cookie baking skills.  Jill swears she has no secrets, but there has to be something because they are so darn good. You will enjoy a delicious brunch, then practice some baking tricks on a few of her favorite recipes.  And the best part is, you will get to go home with some treats ready to pop in the oven and enjoy with a warm mug of cocoa.

PLAY WITH  CLAY
Join Scott Frankenberger in his potter studio for an afternoon of drink, nibbles and demonstration of his craft. Scott has been spinning his magic at the potter’s wheel since 1974, developing a trail of collectors spanning the globe.  You will have the chance to see past and current work, learn about his techniques, and try your own hand at decorating an individual plate. Your decorated piece will subsequently be fired at a later date and returned to you. Don’t miss this chance to have your own personalized ‘Frankenberger.’

PIZZA, PIZZA!!!
Dave Sommers lives, breathes, and yes, eats pizza.  When not operating the local Mad Mushroom pizza shops, Dave has traveled the world with the United States Pizza Team competing in artisan pizza competitions while further honing his craft.  Dave will take a break from the circuit to spend an evening with guests to share his knowledge of how to craft a truly remarkable pizza at home. After this hands on experience, you will have the chance to sit down with a cold drink and enjoy the fruits of your labor.  You may even go home with a few balls of dough to share your newly found skills with loved ones.

AFGHANI DINNER
Afghan’s culinary specialties reflect its ethnic and geographic diversity.  Rice dishes are culturally the most important parts of a meal, and therefore much time and effort is spent creating them.
