LUM Mission Moment – The Story of Kimberly

Kimberly, a woman in her 60s, came to the LUM Financial Assistance Program facing eviction. Despite owning her trailer, she fell behind on lot rent while battling an aggressive cancer diagnosis. With limited time and strength, her deepest concern was not for herself, but for her daughter and grandchildren who depended on her for stability.

Through support from the Good Samaritan Fund, LUM helped cover the overdue rent, allowing the family to remain safely housed during an incredibly uncertain time. This assistance gave Kimberly peace of mind when it mattered most, protecting her family and honoring her hope for their future.

Your support—whether financial or through volunteering—helps make stories like Kimberly’s possible. Join us today as a sustaining partner—through giving, volunteering, or both. Together, we can continue to offer hope, dignity, and shelter every night of the year.
