Meet the New LUM Staff Member – Lisa Sultemeier
Leading LUM Food Programs & Christmas Assistance
Lisa Sultemeier joined Lafayette Urban Ministry as the Director of Food Programs and Christmas Assistance, bringing a deep understanding of the Greater Lafayette community, a passion for serving others, and exceptional expertise in volunteer coordination, data management, and team building. In a short time, she has established herself as a strong leader while keeping the team engaged and motivated.
“I’m honored to serve alongside a team that makes a real difference in people’s lives every day,” she shared.
As Program Director, Lisa leads four key LUM initiatives: LUM Food Pantry, LUM Food Rescue Initiative, Community Thanksgiving Feast, and Jubilee Christmas Program. She oversees daily operations, manages volunteers, ensures seamless program execution, and upholds LUM’s mission of serving neighbors with dignity, compassion, and respect. Lisa coordinates inventory, maintains food safety compliance, organizes volunteer schedules, and cultivates strong partnerships with local food donors. She also directs the annual Community Thanksgiving Feast and Jubilee Christmas program, ensuring families and community members enjoy equitable, welcoming, and joyful experiences. Her exceptional organizational skills, combined with expertise in CRM systems, data management, and meticulous attention to detail, allow her to maintain accurate records and generate insightful reports across all programs.
A Personal Touch
Holiday decorating and gift wrapping are among Lisa’s favorite pastimes, as she believes that small touches of delight can transform ordinary days into memorable ones.
