Halftime Reflections – Gratitude & Growth

Midyear Message from the LUM Board President

Halftime is a great opportunity for teams to review their performance and then tweak strategy and plans for an even better second half. Now that we’re past the midyear point, I’m both grateful and encouraged by three things:

• Your generous support in partnering with LUM to help effectively serve neighbors in need with compassion.
• The successful conclusion of a substantial initiative to gather broad-based input and carefully and prayerfully update the LUM Vision, Mission and Values.
• The development by consensus of a new LUM Strategic Plan, reflecting our updated Vision, Mission and Values.

Thanks for your generous support. It tangibly helps move Greater Lafayette toward our vision of a more flourishing community, where individuals and families have more effective pathways out of crisis and poverty. Compelled by Jesus’ example and inclusive of all beliefs, our Mission continues to focus on meeting basic human needs, offering needful financial assistance and inspiring hope. These are investments that pay an eternal dividend.
