LUM Summer of Service — Engage for Good
Summer is the Perfect Time to Volunteer
Believe it or not, summer is the perfect time to engage in volunteer work. While it’s wonderful to serve all year long, summer is an especially good time to get involved in something worthwhile — like Lafayette Urban Ministry — because the needs are great and the opportunities are exciting.
Each summer, LUM has a challenge finding volunteers because student organizations don’t meet and retirees often take a break from volunteering. You and your family typically have more free time in the summer and have more time to volunteer.
Would YOU please consider volunteering during the
LUM Summer of Service?
Volunteers are needed with the LUM food pantries, homeless shelter, youth programs including the full-day, child care program and summer camp, as well as with buildings & grounds.
For more information, go to LUMserve.org/volunteer; or email or call Terri Anderson, the new LUM volunteer coordinator (tanderson@LUMserve.org | 765-423-2691).
