Award Winning LUM – Community Partner of the Year
CILMAR Recognizes LUM as Partner of the Year
At the end of the year banquet of the Purdue Center for Intercultural Learning-Mentorship-Assessment-Research, Lafayette Urban Ministry was presented with the Boiler Out! Community Partner of the Year award.
Carrie Anne Thomas (right) from Purdue International Programs presented the crystal award to Linda Hicks (left) representing LUM. Boiler Out! is an initiative at Purdue to engage international students in local community service activities. LUM was recognized for providing numerous engagement activities with LUM programs throughout the year including the LUM After School Program, Hunger Hike, LUM Camp, Jubilee Christmas, LUM Follies and more. LUM staff are humbled by the recognition and appreciative of the partnership with the international students at Purdue.
