LUM Day for Dads – Creating Memories

Celebrating Dads, Kids, Baseball & Family

Lafayette Urban Ministry recently hosted its sixth annual LUM Day for Dads, celebrating fathers and father figures who play an active role in their children’s lives. The goal is to strengthen family relationships by providing fathers and children an opportunity to spend meaningful time together in a fun, supportive setting — creating lasting memories.

Held at Loeb Stadium, the event welcomed 46 participants including 18 parents and 28 children, for an afternoon of baseball and fellowship. LUM provided each participant with a game ticket, Day-for-Dads T-shirt, and meal voucher. Despite stormy weather and a rain delay, families enjoyed cheering on the Lafayette Aviators, who defeated the Champion City Half Trax 16–10.
