Two Purdue Groups Plan Halloween Fun for LUM Students

Last week, the students enrolled in the LUM After School Program were treated to  a special Halloween celebration. The members of Timmy Global Health and the Pre-Pharmacy Club at Purdue University sponsored a Halloween party for the students enrolled in the LUM After School Program.

The students dressed up in their costumes, took pictures in a Halloween photo booth, watch Halloween movies, read Halloween stories and even went trick-or-treating. The LUM students are now full of the spirit of the Autumn season — thanks to Timmy Global Health and the Pre-Pharmacy Club! LUM Students Visit the Great Pumpkin Patch

Halloween Fun for the LUM Students

During the month of October, the students enrolled in the LUM After School Program have been visiting the Great Pumpkin Patch sponsored by Congress Street United Methodist Church. The Great Pumpkin Patch gives our students a Halloween “farm” experience without leaving the city.

It’s extra special this year because a portion of the proceeds from the Great Pumpkin Patch will be donated to Hunger Hike. If you wish to volunteer at the Great Pumpkin Patch, click HERE. The more volunteers we recruit — the more is donated to Hunger Hike.

Halloween Fun for the LUM Students

Last week, the students enrolled in the LUM After School Program were treated to two Halloween celebrations. First, the members of Stewart Cooperative at Purdue University brought pumpkins to the students and helped them decorate Jack-o-lanterns.

On another day, the members of the Delta Delta Chapter of Sigma Chi at Purdue hosted a Halloween social for the students at their house. The students dressed up in their costumes and went door-to-door trick-or-treating. The LUM students are now full of the spirit of the Autumn season — thanks to Sigma Chi & Stewart Cooperative! LUM Students Celebrate Halloween

asp pumpkinLast week, the members of Stewart Cooperative at Purdue University hosted a Halloween social for the students enrolled in the LUM After School Program.

The highlight of the afternoon was pumpkin carving. The students took their work seriously — rolling up their sleeves and digging right in — using their artistic talent and carving skills with this hands-on, educational and recreational activity. And the finished Jack-o-lanterns are tremendous.

Some of the Jack-o-lanterns were shared with individuals in our community while others were taken home by the students. Assisting the After School Program that day were also the members of the St. Thomas Aquinas MARK program & Purdue Timmy Global Health. The LUM students are now full of the spirit of the Autumn season — Thanks to Stewart Cooperative!
