LUM Day for Dads – A Great Tribute to Fathers

Celebrating LUM Dads at the Ballpark in June

On a recent Sunday in June—a month traditionally dedicated to celebrating fathers—Lafayette Urban Ministry hosted the fifth annual LUM Day for Dads, a special event designed to honor and uplift fathers who are actively engaged in the lives of their children and families.

The event welcomed 53 participants from 14 local families—including 21 parents and 32 children—for a memorable afternoon at the Lafayette Aviators baseball game at Loeb Stadium. Each family received complimentary game tickets, Day for Dads T-shirts, and food and beverage vouchers. A highlight of the day included an exciting Lafayette Aviators victory over the Chillicothe Paints. The fathers in attendance expressed sincere appreciation for the opportunity to enjoy quality time with their children in such a fun and supportive setting.
